Nancy Schindler • Owego, NY • Porcelain/Sterling

I have been working with clay for over eight years. I am thrilled to be able to design and make porcelain jewelry full time. There is nothing more satisfying than making a living from your own creations.

In one of my other lives (when I can find the time) I am an art historian.

I am currently working on a very exciting documentary film project - http://www.antoniocorsi.com/index.html.

All of my porcelain jewelry is hand-crafted from start to finish by me. In an effort to be fresh, unique and original I make all of my own molds (with the exception of just a few irresistibles) and I form, glaze and finish each piece by hand.

NONE of my work is slip cast - each piece starts life as porcelain clay.

Glazing is my passion and I take extreme delight in experimenting with different combinations and firing techniques - as a result many of the glazes you see on the larger oval and round pendants will not be replicated identically. So if you see something and you like it you better grab it fast!
