Ann Schlect Wenham, MA • Beach Stone & Sterling

Creating jewelry with everyday objects has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My most current focus has been on jewelry that has an organic, natural feel to it.

In 1993 I began selling my jewelry as The Gilded Lily Store and 17 years and many designs later, it is still going strong. I have sold my jewelry through many different avenues over the years -- wholesale, retail, house parties, more than 50 juried shows, galleries, and most recently, online.

My jewelry designs vary, I am always seeking new ideas that broaden my abilities. One of my biggest collections features beach stones of basalt and granite that have been smoothed by many years spent crashing against the shore.

The stones are in their natural state (versus tumbling) which retains their energy. Over time they become polished by the wearer's skin oils making the piece very individual and personal. When worn, the stones absorb and retain heat from the body and offer healing qualities to the wearer.

I strive to make unique and affordable pieces that my customers can feel good about purchasing and wearing. My personal success is based on happy customers.
